The rising star Drake speaks a little about the rumors of his single with Jay-Z being passed over for “Run This Town”.
“I don’t know who came up with that rumor to be honest, but I always knew what Jay’s first single was going to be. Me and Jay did a lot of work together. Maybe at one point he was considering doing it and someone got over-excited and put out a press release that I was going to be on the first single. I think the ‘Run This Town’ song is phenomenal. I think Kanye kills that shit. I actually heard that song when it was a Rihanna track.”
We can’t wait to hear the Jay-Z and Drake combination.

Drake signs with International Creative Management (ICM) for a touring and branding deal.
Chart-topping rapper/singer Drake has signed to International Creative Management (ICM) to handle his tour booking and branding moving forward.
The ICM deal follows Drake’s recent signing to Young Money Entertainment, with distribution through Universal Republic, for the release of his highly-anticipated debut album, “Thank Me Later.”
Drake, born Aubrey Graham in Toronto, first created a buzz earlier this year with his single, “Best I Ever Had,” off his third mixtape, “So Far Gone.” The track went to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart and No. 2 on the Hot 100. His follow-up single, “Successful,” featuring Trey Songz, is currently at No. 13 on the former chart.
This summer, look for Drake on tour with Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and Soulja Boy Tell’em as part of the “Young Money Presents: Americas Mos Wanted Music Festival” trek.
